[edit] Unfinished items

[edit] Stub

A stub is a page that needs considerable more work before it can be considered complete.

To identify a page as a stub, add the following line at the end of the page:

{{stub|~~~~~|COMMENT}}

[edit] TODO

A TODO item is a specific piece of data that needs to be filled in, a question that needs to be addressed, etc. The page may or may not also be a stub.

To identify a TODO item with an optional COMMENT, mark the location with:

{{todo|~~~~~|COMMENT}}

[edit] Working

A working tag indicates a page that is being actively developed. The tag should not remain for more than a few days.

To identify a working item with an optional COMMENT, mark the location with:

{{working|~~~~|COMMENT}}

[edit] Big ideas

A plan or idea that is too long for a simple comment should go on the discussion page.

[edit] Task list

Recording tasks in the task list is optional. It is encouraged especially for large items, to avoid multiple people taking on the same task.

To record a task on the task list:

  1. If the item does not already exist, add it to the appropriate table below.
  2. Record your user name with datestamp, indicated by four tildes ~~~~, under Assigned.
  3. Put a working tag on the page(s) in question.
  4. When you're finished, record your user name with datestamp under Completed, and remove any unfinished item tags from the finished page(s).

Completed items will be cleaned up periodically, so keep records elsewhere if you want a history of your accomplishments.
