Character generator

We need a simple tool for creating characters, along the lines of GURPS character sheet or the Technomancer d20 character sheet. It should be a fairly simple task for a programmer wanting to pad their resumé. If you'd like to take it on, please assign the task to yourself.

The following features are essential for the character generator:

• reads/writes character data in XML format (preferably .ods)
• performs all computations automatically
• adapts to steadily expanding lists of skills, boons, banes, etc., with minimal effort
• can work with any combination of modules
• open source

[edit] Optional features

The following features would be nice, but are not essential:

• loads & runs within a wiki page (as opposed to externally)
• reads/writes character data as a spreadsheet readable by OpenOffice
• displays formatted character sheet in a browser
• print option
• maintainable by any registered user
