A quirk is a facet of personality which impacts role-playing, but does not significantly affect a character's abilities. It is considered a minor bane, worth only -1 character point. A character's banes can include no more than five quirks.

Virtually any bane can have a corresponding quirk. It reflects a tendency that the character can overcome at will, rather than an actual limitation. A quirk can also be unrelated to any bane.
